Matthew Allison

Matt has three decades of experience representing clients with respect to complex commercial litigation and international arbitration matters. He has substantial experience counseling foreign and domestic companies, across a variety of industries, in large, multi-jurisdictional dispute proceedings.
Matt has represented clients in matters in ten of the twelve federal circuits, and in state courts across the country. He has first-chaired ten matters to arbitral hearing and has arbitrated matters pursuant to ICC, AAA, ICDR, LCIA, HKIAC, UNCITRAL and ad hoc rules.
Matt has significant experience with complex breach, commercial fraud, post-acquisition indemnity, trade secret, and unfair competition claims, and with litigating the enforcement of forum selection provisions.
Matt has also been an adjunct professor at Loyola University School of Law.

- Represented European parent and domestic subsidiaries in ICDR arbitration and federal litigation against multimillion dollar breach and fiduciary claims relating to ownership structure of large, undeveloped parcel of land in downtown Chicago
- Represented public US company in ICC arbitral prosecution of multimillion dollar breach claims relating to creation of medical records network in Abu Dhabi
- Represented public UK company in ICDR arbitral prosecution of multimillion dollar breach claims relating to long-term uranium supply agreements
- Represented European entity in ICDR arbitration seeking emergency interim relief relating to long-term, multi-channel license with public US retailer
- Represented European manufacturer in AAA arbitration against multimillion dollar breach and fraud claims relating to construction of industrial equipment for by-products of ethanol production

- Represented privately-held technology company in federal litigation against multimillion dollar fiduciary and trade secret claims arising from revenue sharing agreement in Asia
- Represented US manufacturer and European parent in two AAA arbitrations against multimillion dollar breach and fraud claims relating to long-term production and supply agreements
- Represented large, privately-held software company in federal litigation arising from partner network agreement in Kuwait
- Represented large, public insurance broker in multiple litigations involving commercial insurance placements and coverage issues
- Represented state-owned Chinese automobile manufacturer in federal litigation against RICO, trade secret, and tortious interference claims
