Aaron is an experienced and creative litigator with experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of matters in venues across the country.
Aaron has several years of experience in business litigation and other large and complex commercial disputes. His experience includes litigating class actions, disputes among former business partners, fraud claims, property disputes, arbitration proceedings, and shareholder actions.
His experience also includes litigating claims under state and federal false claims acts with a particular focus on claims related to the healthcare industry, including Medicare and Medicaid, unlawful concurrent surgery, off-label marketing, Medicaid fiscal agents, opioid treatment programs, inflated government capitation payments, violations of the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute, and private prison healthcare contractors.
Aaron is also an experienced employment lawyer, having represented plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of matters under Title VII, the ADA, ADEA, various whistleblower statutes, False Claims Act retaliation, constitutional claims, and various tort claims. Among other matters, Aaron represented an esteemed surgeon in his healthcare whistleblower claims against Massachusetts General Hospital which settled for $13 million, including an offer of reinstatement, and a female police detective who faced sexual harassment over several years and whose recovery exceeded $5 million.
Aaron is Of Counsel at Esbrook and primarily assists with plaintiff-side litigation of False Claims Act violations. Prior to joining Esbrook P.C., Aaron was Of Counsel to Guttman, Buschner & Brooks, PLLC, and a litigator with Burns & Levinson LLP, Thompson Coburn LLP, and White & Case LLP.
Aaron was a longtime board member for Equality Federation, a national LGBTQ+ advocacy organization, including serving as board co-chair. He lives in Chicago with his husband and two spoiled cats.
